General Information

The admission of the pupils is subject to the availability and according to the criteria fixed by The Bishop's International School (Age, School Documents, and Remittance of stipulated Fees). The pupil must be introduced by his/her father, mother or legal guardian who must provide a file comprising of documents as listed in the section titled "Documents".
Age Criteria :
Nursery: - 3 + Yrs.
Junior KG: - 4 + Yrs.
Senior KG: - 5 Yrs.
Grade I : - 6 Yrs

Admission Information

The Admission at The Bishop's International School (TBIS) is accepted as per the following criteria:

  • Only the parents/guardians of the child seeking admission are permitted to complete the registration process.
  • Admission is given subject to fulfillment of admission criteria and availability of seats, without any reference to caste, creed, class, gender or political inclination.
  • Admission to The Bishop's International School is a privilege and not right, Rights of Admission are reserved with the school management and school management can accept or reject any admission without assigning any reason.
  • Please read the brochure/Prospectus and other details carefully.
  • Affix and attach the necessary documents as given below with the Application for Admission Form.
  • Admission process- there are following stages of the Admission Process :
    • - Obtaining and submitting the duly completed Application for Admission form, Health Form along with Xerox copies of relevant documents.
    • - Assessment of the Admission form by the Administrative officer.
    • - Interaction with the Principal, if required.
    • - Random selection process through draw of lots subject to availability of seats.
    • - Paying of the fees as stipulated and submitting the required documents in original/photocopies as required.
    • - Submission of the Application for Admission Form does not ensure Admission to the school.
    • - Admission decision will be conveyed to the Parents/Guardians.

List of Documents

  • Original/Notarized Birth certificate of the students as issued by the statutory authorities.
  • Photocopy of the progress/report card of the previous schooling year.(If any)
  • Four passport size color photographs of the child.
  • Health information form given by the School.
  • Self attested photocopy of address proof.
  • Passport copy.
  • Kindly provide complete communication details such as residence and office phone numbers. Cell phone numbers etc.

Also provide two alternate phone numbers/ cell phone numbers of two of your friends/relatives. Please remember that these communication details are important in order to establish contact with you in case of an emergency. This information is kept confidential.

Admission Confirmation

Admission to The Bishop's International School (TBIS) will be confirmed only after.

  • Paying the stipulated fees, as mentioned within the specified time period.
  • Completion of required documents as listed in documents section.
  • In case any relevant information has been withheld deliberately the school will review the admission of the student.

Parents/Guardians will have to sign the declaration on application form for the Admission, which shall confirm financial commitments to the School;
declaration that they themselves and their child will adhere to the rules and regulations of the school in force from time and that the school will not be liable for any damages, or charges on account of injuries sustained by the child during his/her stay at the school.




1. Admission Process.

  • Parents can come to the admission office and collect a registration kit for Leo Kid’s Prep School or The Bishops International School (TBIS) for application from Nursery to Std 4th.
  • A completed application form along with supporting documents and the cheque for 1st quarter fees is to be returned by the parents to the school office.
  • The student will only be considered a confirmed admission once the first installment is paid by the parents.

2. What is the cost of the registration Kit?

The application form and brochure for admission in Leo Kids Prep School or The Bishop’s International School (TBIS) is INR 500/-.

3. What are the documents required at the time of admission?

The following documents are required to be submitted:

  • Completed Application form.
  • Original birth certificate of student (Applicable for admission to Nursery - Grade 1).
  • Original School leaving certificate (for admission to Grade 2 and above, can be submitted later if currently unavailable).
  • Photo copy of student’s Aadhar card (if available).
  • UDISE Number (Unified District Information System for Education) from current school (applicable for admissions from Std 2 onwards).
  • Photocopy of the current class Report Card (applicable for admissions from Std 2 onwards).
  • Photocopy of Address proof (original to be carried for verification).
  • 4 passport size photographs of the student.

4. What kind of entrance test will be taken at the time of admission?

No written test is conducted at Leo Kids Prep School or The Bishop’s International School (TBIS). Admissions are given on a first come, first serve basis. In fact, any sort of entrance test is illegal as per the law.

What are the modes of transport offered?

An extensive multi-route bus facility is available to parents. Each bus has a female attendant, conductor and trained driver in the bus. Your safety is our main concern.

The Bishop’s International School (TBIS) ensures that your child excels both inside and outside the school and places a lot of emphasis on extra-curricular activities.

Sports and Hobby classes are conducted every week. An extensive list of sports and hobbies will be provided to the students and they will be told to pick one hobby and one sport which they will concentrate on for the entire year.

02. How would you help students improve their English communication skills ? Extra classes (after school hours) are organized in which English is given emphasis.
Various pedagogies are introduced into the classrooms that help the student in learning English.
Students are encouraged to only talk in English in School.

03. What kind of remedial classes will be provided for students who are not able to cope with studies? The school will do all it can to make sure your child gets the best education possible. If we find that a child is not coping up, extra classes will be provided to those students, mentors will be given to them as well. All this extra help will be done at no extra cost for the parent.

04. How well trained are your teachers? TBIS believes in quality education, hence specific focus is placed on regular teacher training with emphasis on efficiency, expertise, empathy and quality.

06. What are the school timings? The school functions in 2 shifts on weekdays, with Saturday being non-instructional days. The school remains closed on Sundays.

07. What are the vacation schedules for this academic year? All vacation dates and public holidays are mentioned in the school calendar.

08. How can I meet a class teacher/Subject teacher/Co-ordinator/Vice-Principal/Principal? Parents can meet Class Teachers and Subject teachers during the PTM organized by the school. However, if an urgent meeting is required, please fix an appointment by writing a note in the school diary.

09. What is the strength of students in each classroom? At TBIS, our Pre-primary classes will not have more than 25 students per class and higher grades will not have more than 40 students per class.

10. What other languages are offered for study in TBIS? At TBIS, we offer Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit/French.

11. What platform does TBIS use to connect parents? At TBIS, we have a customised ERP for parents to monitor the academic and non-academic records of the student.
