INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The school, with pride embarks the mentioned ceremony to inculcate leadership
qualities among the students.
This ceremony forms 'Responsible Student Council' which is one of the colourful
highlights of the prestigious school.
PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION
Parent's day is a day for the children to make their parents feel that how grateful
they are for having such lovely parents.
We hold a card making competition in the school wherein students make beautiful and
creative cards addressing it to their parents and convey their hearts feelings.
GANDHI JAYANTI
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 02nd Oct to commemorate the birth anniversary of
'Father of Our Nation'.
Bishopites with complete zeal participate in Poster and Slogan competition and also
show their active interest in being a part of rally organized by MBMC every year.
FAREWELL DAY (STUDENTS)
- A farewell is one of the important events of a student's life.
- It symbolizes the closure of one's educational journey from a school.
- The school creates momentous celebration for the senior most students initiated by grade IX students to cherish for their life time.
Years fade away but not the true resource of the school. Dedicated staff marks the true foundation of any institution. The Bishop's School takes great honor in bidding warm
farewell to the highly valuable staff members who retire from their dedicated service in school by organizing memorable gathering to showcase deep respect for them and also honor them with token of appreciation and gratitude.
WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN FREE AND EQUAL IN DIGNITY AND RIGHTS
Human Rights Day calls on everyone to stand up for someone's rights. It is observed on
10th December every year to educate the students about their rights, regardless of race,
colour, religion, sex, language, birth, status, etc. On this day, the school organizes
elocution competition, slogan competition, poster making competition, etc.
Adding on to it, the school organized ' Tribute to Defiled Victims' in order to inculcate
respect and sympathy in the students so as to turn out to be responsible citizens of our
country
28TH FEBRUARY NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY
Every year, the school celebrates ‘National Science’ day on February 28 to remember the R
aman effect discovery of Sir CV Raman's Raman Effect. It is celebrated to create enthusiasm
among the students and to popularize science and technology to strengthen scientific
temper among the students. A number of activities like Fun with science, presentations
showcasing contributions of Indian scientists, science quiz, debates, etc. are organized
to celebrate this day.
INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
International Women's Day is celebrated on 08th March in The Bishop’s School to raise
awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. The celebration
begins with a speech dedicated to women presented by male student. It is followed by a
presentation by students showcasing the contribution and significance of the women in
various fields. Some of the students recite poems and speeches highlighting the need to
respect women and to treat them equally for creating a balance society in future.
MARATHI DIVAS CELEBRATION
Marathi Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi language and to commemorate the
birth anniversary of eminent veteran Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj.
Bishopites celebrate this day by organizing various activities like plays, elocutions,
speeches and poem recitation.
